15th October Brian Stoddart & Donald Macgruer Memorial Cup, Present team 6 Veterans & former players 2.
The Brian Stoddart & Donald Macgruer Memorial Cup, postponed once again this year from the normal curtain opener due to weather, was played on a dry but slightly cold autumn day with slight east wind .
Prior to the game club secretary Liz Macdonald read out a dedication and unveiled a bench in memory of Boleskine stalwart Jim Chisholm who died earlier this year.
The Veterans sporting the bright red coloured strip of Tomatin football team forced the referee Neil Ferguson to change his attire to a sombre black to avoid a clash of colours with those spritely veterans.
The present team took the game to the Veterans and in 12 minutes Lewis Smith sent a rocket shot high into the net to open the scoring. The Veterans had a couple of chances to draw level before Ian Grant made it two nil in the 23 minute, with a shot from close in. Craig Pirrie twelve minutes later put the present Boleskine team further ahead ,with a good low shot from the right edge of the D , followed shortly later by a cracking drive from Paul Bryson to make it four nil to the present team, which was the score at half time . The Veterans smarting from this half time deficit, took the game to the youngsters and in the forty sixth minute Gus Fraser created space for himself and opened his teams account with a well taken goal. This brought hopes of a comeback for the Veterans but in the fifty fourth minutes Mike Pirrie and Sandy Cameron ended up on the ground following a tussle for the ball. Mike was the quicker to his feet and dispatched the ball into the net to restore his teams four goal advantage. In the Seventy First minute Gus Fraser grabbed the veterans second goal with a low drive after a good interchange of play with Peter Macdonald . Kevin Hunter completed the scoring seven minutes from time from close in to ensure the present side retained the cup by six goals to two. But as a veteran verbally countered, we drew with them in the second half .
The spectators present , included Sutherland cup winners 1966 veterans, Teep Macdonald, John Murray, Hugh Fraser, Donnie Fraser & Leslie Stoddard who enjoyed the game and the reminiscing that flowed freely during today's match. The match was refereed by Neil Ferguson (Knockcarrock), to the satisfaction of all concerned. The club are grateful to Neil, for once again giving up his free time to officiate at the BS & DM game.
Club President Peter Macdonald called on Leslie Stoddard, Brian's brother to present the cup to 2011 captain Sandy Fraser and medals to each team and the referee . The winners of the best player medals chosen by Hugh Fraser (Toots) & Alan Macdonald, were presented to Mike Pirrie for 2011 and Alan Sumner for the Veterans.

25 June Strathglass v Boleskine LD3
Game cancelled Strathglass could not raise team points to Boleskine. This is the fourth game this season that Boleskine have received the points for clubs unable to raise a team to play them resulting in 8 points being awarded to Boleskine . This makes a mockery of the league perhaps its time the Camanachd Association did something radical to solve this problem, like if it is a two team club, deduct two points from the first team for their second team not being able to field a team to fulfil the fixture .

Boleskine headed to Lochbroom on Saturday hoping to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat at Beauly the previous week. The first twenty minutes was quite evenly matched — both sides squandering penalties. After 30 minutes Ian Grant came on and had an almost immediate effect. From a run up the left hand side he crossed to Raymond Robertson who coolly slotted into an open goal. Just before half time Ian Grant scored himself after some fierce Boleskine pressure on the Lochbroom defence. So 2-0 at half time — with both Lewis Smith and the Lochbroom goalie having been booked for separate incidents. Although the Lochbroom goalie was lucky to stay on the park - having taken a swipe with his caman at the head of the line judge who awarded the second Boleskine goal. Poor Craig Hepburn only came to watch! Into the second half and for the first twenty minutes Boleskine seemed to lose their way. Lochbroom gave it their all but despite numerous chances were unable to score — including missing their second penalty of the match. However in the 75th minute Ian Grant scored from close range and this seemed to settle the Boleskine team again. Within 5 minutes they had scored their fourth after Raymond Robertson chipped over the goalie. A minute later and it was 5 with a stunning goal from Lewis Smith from about 30 yards. The final result could have been very different if Lochbroom had taken their chances but the defence held firm — including a superb performance from Dane MacPherson in particular.
